This is a molded plywood tray, designed and made by hand. It's a perfect modern conversation piece, holding various trinkets and treasures or your favorite magazines.
Inspired by a similar tray found in a vintage shop years ago that regrettably went un-purchased, we set out to re-create this under-appreciated mid-century piece. It's been quite a few years since setting eyes on the original, and various searches have come up empty for pictures of the tray or the name of the original designer. So we've done our best to honor the original design while also drawing inspiration from our favorite source - nature. Specifically, the leaf of an aspen tree was our main inspiration for the shape of this tray. It's sweeping profile is a perfect addition to any mid-century modern lover's abode.
Hand-layered bent plywood with real wood veneer, hand sanded and finished. The walnut veneer on this tray is a deep, warm brown with varying black grain that adds a bit of sophisticated warmth to any room. Includes 3 cork feet on the bottom to prevent surface scratching.
Tray measures 5" tall, 9.5" wide and 18" long. Made to order in 1-3 weeks.
