A modern reinvention inspired by a Finnish tradition. This geometric hanging mobile is called a Himmeli, from the Swedish word 'himmel' meaning sky or heaven. They were created to celebrate the beginning of Winter Solstice and serve a means of good fortune for the future.
Suspended from three thin cords, the orb's visual perspective changes at a each angle, playing off its angular lines. It is perfectly sized to hold an extra large Tillandsia, [aka. air plant], for display.

Because of how the Himmeli is crafted, the points at which the straws converge together will not always align perfectly. Some can be adjusted after shipment by pinching the top and bottom of the joint with your fingers and shifting them back into place.
